Report: Chelsea Agree Personal Terms With Edinson Cavani

We all knew we had not heard the last of Edinson Cavani rumours. By now, people who have been reading my blog must be familiar with Tancredi Palmeri.

Palmeri then tweeted again after three minutes to confirm he knew Chelsea have been discussing with Cavani's representatives recently.
While this doesn't mean in anyway that Chelsea have gotten their man, it's still a step in the right direction. Chelsea now need to agree a fee with Napoli. Actually, Chelsea shouldn't be discussing personal terms with Cavani without permission from Napoli. Nice move though as it will now be difficult for Napoli to stop him from moving. Chelsea's unwillingness to pay his buyout fee might eventually Napoli to settle for a reasonably less amount.

Do you want Chelsea to go on with the Cavani chase?

Good Luck Marko!

Chelsea have announced on their official website that German winger, Marko Marin will join Sevilla on loan for the upcoming season.

Last season, Marko Marin's potential was hindered by series of injuries. He then fell down the pecking order. Andre Schurrle signing for Chelsea and Kevin De Bruyne not going on loan meant that Marin will probably not play for Chelsea during the 2013/14 season.

Sevilla already sold Jesus Navas to Manchester City, leaving a void in their team. Let's hope Marin can fill the void and spring back to life in the La Liga.

Good luck Marko Marin, we hope you return to Chelsea as who we all know you can be. Best wishes...

Predicting The First Five Fixtures In The Barclays Premier League

Chelsea fans all over the world are still celebrating Jose Mourinho's return to the club. Exactly what the team needed,a world class manager. Fortunately,it happens to be "The Happy One" that returns to fill the void he left few years ago.

Rival clubs are probably still wishing its still all a dream. Mourinho's return to Chelsea is in no way good news for any top European club other than Chelsea.

I have this feeling Chelsea will win the league next season, playing Hull City on opening day, having Jose Mourinho back, they all bring good memories, don't they? Chelsea will however have to start the season strongly then build on that.

GAME 1: CHELSEA 6 Vs 0 HULL CITY

There's no better way to start a season than a good victory, Chelsea have the quality to totally demolish Hull City especially at Stamford Bridge. Hull City should be punished for their pre-season comments.

Romelu Lukaku bags a brace, Eden Hazard scores a beauty before coming off for new boy Andre Schurrle who nets a 25 yard stunner, David Luiz scores his trademark free-kick and Ramires completes the rout through a counter-attack as Hull City go all out to grab a goal.

Real baptism of fire for Hull City as Chelsea get their season off to a flying start.

GAME 2: MANCHESTER UNITED 2 Vs 4 CHELSEA

Chelsea travel to Old Trafford for their first game of the season,to play Manchester United with the whole world watching on.

Chelsea open the scoring in the first half through Juan Mata,a perfect cross from the right by De Bruyne met by Mata's head (rare goal) before extending the lead courtesy of Kevin De Bruyne. Manchester United grab a goal through Robin Van Persie just before the break.

United continue to knock on Chelsea's door but the defence up to the task. A David Luiz long pass finds Ramires who sprints on before squaring the ball towards substitute Oscar in the box who calmly slots the ball past the helpless David De Gea into goal. Torres comes on for Romelu Lukaku who have been denied two goals by the post and De Gea and scores with his first touch, latching to Eden Hazard's through ball before rounding the keeper the way he loves to.  With an humiliating defeat approaching for United,David Moyes sends Javier Hernandez on. Chelsea's defence fail to clear a ball in the box and Hernandez pounces on the ball and scores against Chelsea again.

A win like this is precious, your team's confidence rises and victory directly affects a rival team.

GAME 3: CHELSEA 1 Vs 0 ASTON VILLA

Back to the bridge,Chelsea's fortress. Mourinho's Chelsea welcome Aston villa.

Chelsea suffer dip in form, the attacking players miss many clear-cut chances. Petr Cech makes quality saves from Aston Villa players, the defenders especially Gary Cahill in top form. An Aston Villa defender brings Eden Hazard down in the box,Frank Lampard steps up and fires the ball straight down the middle.

A win is a win!Three points is what matters. Champions win even on their off-day.

GAME 4: EVERTON 1 Vs 3 CHELSEA

Goodison Park is not usually fun to travel to. Its still one of the stadiums you must play.

Chelsea get straight to business, Andre Schurrle cuts inside on the left flank and escapes the challenge of Jagielka before sending an unstoppable rifle past Howard. Everton's reaction to going behind results in a penalty Leighton Baines happily converts.

Jose Mourinho makes two changes midway through the second half. Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku coming on for Oscar and Fernando Torres. The changes pay dividends almost instantly as Lukaku heads a Frank Lampard long pass onto Juan Mata who skips past Jagielka and chips the ball over Howard to restore Chelsea's lead. Romelu Lukaku gets his own goal late in the game, heading Azpilicueta's dangerous cross from the right wing into the top-left corner to secure Chelsea's win.

Chelsea go two points clear of Manchester City and look good for the title already.

GAME 5: CHELSEA 2 Vs 0 FULHAM

Derbies are always tricky, that's why london clubs need to work hard to win the title. Fulham come visiting...

After a goalless first-half, Jose Mourinho's team talk seems to have a positive effect on the players. Mata and Hazard have a nice exchange before the latter hit the ball in the air with his left foot straight into the net. Chelsea continue to dominate, Juan Mata then beats David Luiz to a free-kick on the edge of the box,he sends a curling shot around the wall into the net as Fulham's goal-keeper watched on.

An outstanding performance by Petr Cech and the rest of Chelsea's defence contributes to their third BPL clean sheet of the season and they still haven't conceded at home. Brimming with confidence, the team go marching on!

CONCLUSION
Hmmm...how many Chelsea fans will hate to see Chelsea start the 13/14 season this well? Without imagining Edinson Cavani at Chelsea, the team is already strong enough to mount a challenge for the title. Its almost like a dream but a dream that can turn into reality. Let's see your own prediction, who knows? You just might be the one to get them all right and be our new Octopus.

VIDEO: Cavani Scores As Uruguay Lose To Brazil

Chelsea transfer target, Edinson Cavani was silent during the group games against World champions, Spain and Champions of Africa, Nigeria against whom he was marked out of the game by Chelsea-owned 19 year-old Nigerian, Kenneth Omeruo. He was then unceremoniously dropped against everyone's favourite team, Tahiti.

Cavani silenced critics with his performance against Brazil. His work rate during the match was incredible and Thiago Silva- David Luiz struggled to contain he, Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan. He thoroughly deserved his goal, some lackadaisical defending by Brazil and Cavani pounced with his left foot, a real striker's goal.

Can we then say Omeruo is better than Luiz? *laughs* Football is sometimes like that. That's not to say Omeruo isn't quality, he's an extremely talented lad.

David Luiz, Oscar and Brazil are into the final. Luiz had a bad night(gave a penalty away too) while Oscar had a quiet evening. It wasn't just them, the whole Brazil squad was in shambles. Mr. Neymar shot the ball less and dived more. Congratulations to Luiz and Oscar!

Edinson, you are not a Chelsea player, not yet at least. Well done! People can now keep quiet about Chelsea being foolish to be scrambling for your signature.

Chelsea target Eliaquim Mangala will not be sold cheap

FC Porto have announced that Chelsea target Eliaquim Mangala will not be sold cheap. The 22-year-old defender is believed to be the prime defensive target for Jose Mourinho this summer, but landing him at Stamford Bridge won’t be an easy task for the Blues reports Skysports.
FC Porto president Pinto Da Costa has declared, Eliaquim Mangala won’t be sold unless the buyer meet the £42.4 million releasing clause inserted in the players current contract. The club is adamant that the transfer talks will not be open unless they match with the fee.
According to various media reports Manager Jose Mourinho consider Mangala as a future replacement for Captain John Terry, who is nearing the end of his career. Meanwhile, young Brazilian David Luiz is under the radar of Spanish giants Barcelona.
“Eliaquim Mangala will only leave our club if someone pays the release clause” said Pinto Da Costa.
The 22-year-old France International joined the Portuguese club from Belgian side Standard Liège two seasons ago for just £ 5.7 million. He soon became a first team regular and earned his reputation all over Europe making him a hot target for many top clubs across Europe. He scored 5 goals for Porto last season from 36 games. He is a natural centre defender, but also capable of playing as a right full back.
However, It is too expensive to buy a defender for the £42.4 million especially when UEFA financial fair play rules are about to kick off. Mourinho has earlier stated on the press conference that, Chelsea won’t be splashing cash on the market this term and they have already signed Andre Schurrle for £19million. Chelsea have John Terry, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic and David Luiz in their defense and Mourinho is believed to be focusing more on the academy. However, I won’t be surprised, if Chelsea turns their attention to Raphael Varane, who flourished greatly under Mourinho’s guidance at Real Madrid.

Courtois Now Needs To Keep Getting Better

Chelsea's young world-class Goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has been confirmed by both Chelsea football club and Atletico Madrid to be set for another year on loan at Madrid.

Thibaut Courtois having Cech ahead of him at Chelsea always had a reason to keep improving. You can't displace or replace a goalkeeper of Cech's calibre without being special, but now I think he has another reason to get even better.

Surprisingly, Liverpool getting a new goalkeeper has suddenly become our business. But why exactly should we be concerned as fans of Chelsea football club?

Simon Mignolet is a Belgian international just like Chelsea-owned Thibaut Courtois, which makes them rivals for the No 1 spot for their national team.

Mignolet has made three more appearances than Courtois for Belgium's national team. Thibaut's world-class performances at Madrid stole the spot from Mignolet who previously owned the position.

Mignolet at Sunderland has been one of the finest keepers in the English Premier league. I think Thibaut is better than Mignolet but the latter's move to Liverpool will definitely boost his chances of taking the spot back from Courtois. Playing for a top side like Liverpool puts Mignolet under more spotlight than at Sunderland.

Everyone knows Thibaut Courtois insisted on staying at Atletico Madrid to ensure he retains his place in his national team with the world cup drawing closer. Thibaut will never give his place away without a fight and that can only mean something good for Chelsea. Thibaut Courtois is world-class already, looks like Chelsea own the next big thing between the sticks.

Edinson Cavani Tells Parents To Shut Up

Most Chelsea fans would not have liked the comments made by Edinson Cavani's parents, Berta and Luis Cavani. If you are part of the clique, you have got support because Edinson Cavani isn't pleased with their comments either and he wants them to keep quiet.

My father has talked about Real? I want to point out that these words are not coming from me. I've asked my parents a thousand times not to say any more. They can only hurt me. I belong to Napoli as it stands and that depends on the club. If another option presents itself, we will evaluate it.
                                              -Edinson Cavani (Mail Online)
Mr & Mrs Cavani, can you please cooperate with your son Edinson? Honestly I don't mind your comments though, only if you favour a move to the Stadium Bridge.

OFFICIAL: Andre Schurrle Completes Chelsea Switch

Chelsea football club have announced their signing of Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen.
A deal agreement was announced by the club earlier on June 13. The German International has signed a 5-year contract and will wear the No 14 shirt previously owned by Kevin De Bruyne.

A delighted Andre Schurrle said,"I am so happy now I have signed and it is an honour for me to play for this club, with this team and for these great fans,I am really looking forward to it."

Fans of Kevin De Bruyne need not worry, just a shirt No change. I don't think its anything serious.

You are officially welcome Andre Schurrle to Chelsea football Club!

Drop your welcome messages. KTBFFH

IS IT "EDINSON" TIME?

Departing from Napoli, Edinson Cavani would be close to join Chelsea. The Blues have finally reached an agreement with the Neapolitans for the transfer of "Matador" in the coming days. Edinson Cavani will finally leave Naples. Currently in Brazil to compete in theFIFA Confederations Cup with Uruguay, "Matador" had seen his future to seal the last few hours. Announced at PSG or Real Madrid, according to the Uruguayan should indiscretions Radio Marte, taken by TMW, join the Premier League, Chelsea and more precisely. Naples awaits a replacement for official Cavani! Chelsea would have made a formal offer, have finally got the "yes" Aurelio De Laurentiis, president ofNapoli. For this, the Blues have paid € 58 million, just slightly lessthan the release clause for Cavani. According toMassimo D'Alessandro, the "Matador" will be formalized when Naples will find a replacement. It should reach € 8.5 million.

REPORT: Chelsea agree €58 million Cavani deal

A late one, straight from Napoli. Several media outlets already reporting that Chelsea and Napoli have agreed a €58 million deal for Edinson Cavani.

Radio Marte, the official radio station of Napoli football club made the following statement late on Monday.

“We have received news in the office from a very reliable source that Napoli have sealed a deal with Chelsea for Cavani’s sale, Rafa Benitez also gave the all-clear, but before making the move official Napoli want to secure the striker who will replace Il Matador, Aurelio De Laurentiis’ club will pick up around €58m, a slight discount on the buy-out clause, which is the same situation as Ezequiel Lavezzi to PSG last year. The player will earn €8.5m per season plus image rights.”
                                                                                    - Radio Marte
I can't say if we can start celebrating Cavani's imminent arrival as Radio Marte themselves are quoting another source. I guess we still need to wait.

Palmeri doesn't believe the rumour, we will find out who's right soon. Still relax, keep your hope minimal so you won't be disappointed.

VIDEO: David Villa's Fury At Juan Mata After The Chelsea Maestro Assists A Fernando Torres Goal Vs Tahiti

There have always been suspicions of envy between Spanish strikers David Villa and Fernando Torres. The video footage below shows a furious David Villa after Fernando's second goal against Tahiti.

No one knows for sure what Villa said to Juan Mata but it was after Fernando Torres's goal and that means something. It was Juan Mata's second assist for Fernando Torres in the game. David Villa is Spain's all time goal-scorer, I'm surprised he can be envious of Fernando and not hide his feelings even on the pitch. Spain was playing Tahiti too.

Cavani's Buyout Clause Has An Expiry Date

If you believe Tancredi Palmeri and all other football media outlets,Chelsea have been after Napoli's star striker Edinson Cavani for a while now. Both Real Madrid and Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing him too.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentis has made it crystal clear that any club that wants Edinson Cavani will have to pay all of the reported £54 million buy-out fee.

Tancredi Palmeri claimed Napoli rejected two bids from Chelsea in space of two days, both bids below the buyout clause. All clubs interested in Edinson seem unwilling to pay as much as Napoli are holding out for.

I don't know if Laurentis has a problem with his mouth but it's like he has shot himself in the head. Laurentis revealed while speaking to Italian station Radio Rai that Cavani's buyout clause has an expiry date.

"I don't think Cavani will leave on August 10th, when his buyout clause expires,I'm confident in him, because I consider him a real man. He won't make a joke of me."

He then went on to set a date he expects the transfer saga to end before he jokingly threatened Cavani.

"I think that the Cavani 'soap opera' will come to an end on 20th July, which is when he returns from the Confederations Cup. If it doesn't, I'll rip his head off."

It dawned on Laurentis that interested clubs might actually wait until the clause expires.

"Does anyone think that I'll let Cavani leave on 10th August, with the league campaign about to kick off?"

I don't think Aurelio de Laurentis knew exactly what he was doing. No media outlet reported any expiry date for Cavani's buyout clause before now. Laurentis may have extended an already long transfer saga now. I feel sorry for Chelsea fans, its getting really boring now.

John Mikel Obi scores a beauty for Nigeria

I jumped off my seat when I saw this goal. Mikel scored and it's not even a penalty kick, with his weaker left foot. For a second I thought it was Juan Mata, I hope this boosts his confidence and he scores a few for us next season when opportuned. I want to know how many of you still want Mikel to be sold. I'm certainly not one of you. Well done Mikel!

Chelsea claim supposed Mikel quotes are fake

Still on the same day the quotes were published. Chelsea have denied that John Mikel Obi said those words according to Mr. James Olley (Chief football correspondent for the London Evening Standard)

Looks like those who were unhappy with the quotes can relax and smile now. Sorry anti-Mikel fans, close one but not quite it. Mikel never said he wants out according to Olley. I'm surprised people actually make up quotes.

Romelu Lukaku vows to be "The Deadly One" next season

Chelsea's 20-year old striker, Romelu Lukaku has sent a fire warning to rivals ahead of the start of a new season.

Lukaku wrote on his Instagram: “I will train every single part of my body to be twice as good as last year.
“Stronger, faster, bring more quality into my game just to be as deadly as the great masters of the game.
“It will be hard but when you work hard you play hard. Season 13-14 is the season when I stop playing like a boy and will play as a MAN!! #ambition.”
Lukaku spent last season on loan at West Bromwich where he bagged an impressive 17 league goals for the baggies, an incredible number for his age.

He put on several good performances even from the bench, the most memorable one was against Alex Ferguson's Manchester United, he came off the bench and scored an hat-trick to get a point for West Bromwich ensuring Sir Alex failed to win in his last match in charge at United, a feat only six players managed during the Fergie era according to daily mail. None of Chelsea's cult heroes, from Gianfranco Zola to Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba did or has done what he did.

I think Chelsea fans can be happy Lukaku is still willing to improve. He thinks he scored three goals against United as a boy, he wants to be a man next season. Chelsea's Premier League rivals won't want to see that as Jose Mourinho is set to unleash a new beast at the bridge.

Has John Mikel Obi Made Up His Mind On Leaving?

When the Mikel Obi to Galatasaray rumours started, I dismissed them as just another Media joke. My thought was "No way Chelsea is selling Obi". If you had same thoughts, I've got bad news for you.

One of the biggest newspapers in Turkey, Sabah came forth this morning with some shocking quotes from John Mikel Obi. See for yourself...

"I'm very pleased with Galatasaray's offer."
"I asked Drogba for advice and he told me that Istanbul is a fantastic city, that Galatasaray is a huge club and that I have to make the move."
"I have played at Chelsea for a long time and it's now time for me to leave."
"Talks have reached an advanced level between Chelsea and Galatasaray. Chelsea won't make the move difficult and regarding my salary there won't be a problem."
"All that is left is for the clubs to reach an agreement."
                                                                          - John Mikel Obi via Sabah

As you can see Mikel might be on his way out if those quotes actually came from him. The whole thing doesn't make sense to me, Why will Mikel want out of Chelsea now that Jose Mourinho is back? Why will he be eager to take a massive jump down to the turkish league? Is this another case of African footballers making any move because of money? Could it be Chelsea no longer want him? I hardly have a good answer to all these questions, I've never being a big fan of Obi but I really don't want to see him go as he has qualities no other player in the squad has. And to think we will let him go after all we went through to sign him.

Some Chelsea fans are hoping he's replaced by one of the best pivot players at the moment, the likes of Fellaini, Bender, Alonso are being eyed. Its worth noting that Chelsea hasn't replaced the Centre Midfielders at club with players as good or better for about three years.

What's your opinion? Should Chelsea cash in on Mikel Obi?

Reports: Napoli Reject Chelsea bid for Cavani

Still today, in a matter of hours Napoli have rejected Chelsea's bid for Edinson Cavani as expected. Tancredi Palmeri is my man once again.
Where do we go from here? Napoli are making the best use of interests from Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea in Cavani. Looks like we have to make a bid closer to or the buy out fee (63 million euros). Keep trusting in "The Happy One" and Mr. Roman. KTBFFH!

Andre Schurrle reacts on twitter

Chelsea new boy Andre Schurrle has taken to twitter to express his joy. See his tweet.
Welcome to Stamford Bridge man! Good luck! Congratulations to the fans,we've got our man.

Report: Chelsea bid €50million for Edinson Cavani

Reports all over the web and social media claim Chelsea have submitted a bid of €50 million for Napoli star striker, Edinson Cavani. Popular and reliable transfers' guru also reported the same. See for yourself.

Palmeri isn't quoting any reports here which implies that he's pretty sure about it. He also went on to suggest that the move smacks of desperation.

I saw something else which makes the whole thing interesting. A tweet, this time not from Palmieri.
Are Manchester City and Real madrid making some tricky moves before having a bid accepted? It could also be a trick to make Chelsea move faster for him. Cavani seems desperate to move and I don't know if any Chelsea fan will hate to see him in the Chelsea blue.

And...the Andre Schurrle saga is all but over. Are we in for a big Schurrle-Cavani party? Once again being a Chelsea fan brings lot of anxiety.

Is Fernando Torres on his way to Barcelona?

I'm trying hard to stop laughing over this transfer rumour. It's the time for the rumours so we have to be prepared for some awkward ones. It's a segment of the Spanish press reporting that Fernando "El nino" Torres is interesting Spanish giants, Barcelona. See for yourself...

This is one of the transfer rumours that are hard to understand and really should not be reckoned with but it's still fun looking into them.

Jose Mourinho was asked during his press conference about Fernando Torres and his response showed he is interested in giving him a chance, sidelining the assertion "Mourinho doesn't want him" since he is yet to decide. Secondly, Barcelona just got Neymar for insane money, even if David Villa will be moving he has already been replaced. I'm pretty sure Neymar wasn't signed to replace Victor Valdes or play as a centre-half. Even if Barcelona actually want Torres, 20M? Seriously? Are you for real? £,$ or euros, will anyone pay 20M for Torres? Probably the 20M is in Naira because the tweet was not specific.

Barcelona have done really terrible business in recent times, from the "Ibrahimovic" to the "Neymar" (who I personally think is overrated) but don't think too much about this one. Hmmm... If this is actually true... It can't be bad business for us, can it?

Jose Mourinho decides De Bruyne won't go on loan

De Bruyne, the 21-year-old Belgium winger was signed during the January Transfer window 2011/12 season by Chelsea and immediately loaned back to his club Genk. He spent the just completed season at Werder Bremen where he completed his campaign with 10 goals and 9 assists.
Despite his awesome debut campaign in the Bundesliga, coupled with terrific international performances for Belgium, De Bruyne's Chelsea future has been in doubt but a quote from Bayern Leverkusen GM seems to have cleared the doubt.
Chelsea and Jose Mourinho have at a meeting where we clearly understand that Kevin for the new season to Chelsea returns. Chelsea will definitely no longer lend the player - at any club The thing is through - unfortunately.. It was no longer possible for us to be coupled to a transfer with Andre Schurrle.
-Bayer Leverkusen GM Michael Reschke. Source: Express via Sportschau

Kevin De Bruyne is going to get his chance as Jose Mourinho has belief in him. The Special one is keeping his promise that the club won't spend unnecessary millions on transfers but improve the players available. I honestly don't know where this leaves us regarding Andre Schurrle but I personally won't mind us dropping the chase for him to strengthen other areas in the team.

Lukaku hints at Chelsea Stay?

Romelu Lukaku supposedly held talks with Jose Mourinho following Belgium's 2-1 win against Serbia, scroll down to see the quote from him.

I always said my ambition was to play for Chelsea, and now I will go back to Stamford Bridge and try and play even more games than I did at West Brom. If I can score a few early on, it can turn into a really good season for me.

I have had a good conversation with Jose Mourinho, and I know it's up to me to show I'm worth a place. It is the World Cup next year, and I need to be playing. But if I don't get in the Chelsea team often enough, then I won't deserve to be in the national squad.

I am not afraid of that. I am determined to succeed with Chelsea next season. I want to prove myself. People will compare me with Didier Drogba, and he was always my hero. But I am my own man, and I want to be known for what I do.
So, this is purely good news for those of us hoping for Lukaku's stay because it looks like "The Special One" has some faith in him even though this doesn't mean the chase for a new striker ends(Cavani on your mind). Romelu Lukaku loves Chelsea and its always a pleasure seeing players like him succeed at the Bridge. I don't know if this means something good for Kevin De Bruyne who was great for Belgium last night, all the same start hoping for better times. KTBFFH!

Potential CFC player: Andre Schurrle

Andre Schurrle is highly-rated, at just 20 years of age he made his international debut , and at 21 the German started the quarter-final match at Euro 2012 for a star-studded German team. This season, he has helped Leverkusen to a third placed finish in the Bundesliga, finishing only one point behind Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund. He was heavily involved for Leverkusen, starting 34 league games, scoring 11 and setting up seven of his side's 65 goals, as can be seen on his Espn Profile.

An added goal threat from wide, could that be what Chelsea are so attracted by? Potentially. Eleven goals is a decent tally, but his approach for Leverkusen has been rather similar to that of Gareth Bale at Tottenham, regularly coming infield to find shooting positions at every opportunity. He had more shots (122) than any other player in the German top flight in 2012/13, he also had the most shots off target (46).
A 9.0% conversion rate leaves a lot to be desired but, like Gareth Bale, a huge proportion come from long distance (55.7%). His goal in the 2-0 win over Schalke back in November showed exactly what he is capable of. Picking up the ball on the left side after a Schalke attack, just inside the opposition half, Schurrle darted in onto his right foot, taking advantage of the space created by the runs of Stefan Kiessling and Gonzalo Castro, before firing an unstoppable drive into the top corner. Of all 898 goals in the Bundesliga this season, only two were from further out than that strike.

Only Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery (240) attempted to dribble past an opponent more times than Schurrle (194). Despite playing a shorter season in Germany than England, his tally was a full 66 more than any Chelsea player, with Eden Hazard (128) leading the side.

Schurrle has the quality to improve most sides and the potential to go on to be something great. It could well be a great match up, and will give the brilliant attacking midfield trio at Stamford Bridge greater competition than Victor Moses and Marko Marin have provided.

Signing Schurrle will be improving our strength in a position we have a real gem in Eden Hazard but I don't think there's anything wrong in giving the lad some competition and help him improve. It can also mean Chelsea can move on if Eden gets injured without fear unlike last season.

Andre Schurrle, to sign or not to sign? What do you think?

Hulk to be Jose's first Chelsea signing?

Hulk is being lined up to be Jose Mourinho’s first major signing since returning to the Chelsea from Real Madrid this summeraccording to The Mirror.
Mourinho reportedly admires the versatility of the 26-year-old as he can play through the middle or on the left of the attack.
Hulk, who has earned 21 caps and scored seven goals for the Seleção,is being touted as a possible replacement for misfiring striker Fernando Torres by the media.
Zenith Petersburg are also said to be ready to cut their losses on the Brazil international after paying a reported £40 million for him only last summer. Hulk has faced a difficult first season at Zenit with many fans booing him, alleged racist chants, a reported bust up with coach, Luciano Spalletti and his high wages supposedly causing dressing room friction.
Chelsea were thought to have tried to sign Hulk last summer from previous club Porto, but a move never materialised before Hulk's transfer to Russia.
Hulk has not lived up to expectation in the Russian league so I don't know why we should be after him but If "The Special One" wants him...
What do you think? Will Hulk come good for Chelsea?

Transfer Target: Daniele De Rossi.

Numerous reports have been suggesting that our next manager (You know who) wants 29 year old Italian midfielder,De Rossi on the roster for next season.

Many of you might have heard his name before(He scored in 2006 World-Cup penalty shootout for Italy) but not everyone knows who he really is. As he's a much rumoured target we need to find out what Daniele De Rossi will bring to our team.

De Rossi has played in both defensive and attacking midfield roles in his career. He's good at winning the ball in the midfield,a tough tackler. De Rossi is a consistent performer but he does not score many goals. In 25 appearances in the Serie A 2012/2013 season,he took 22 shots but did not find the net once though he created 3 goals. De Rossi is a decent long-range shooter of the ball too.

Signing De Rossi will be against the club's new policy of signing young players as he's already 29 years-old but could provide an immediate solution in the midfield and help fill the void Michael Ballack left. A major hindrance to this transfer can be Chelsea's lack of italians in the squad. The "Special One" knows best. Like they always say, class is permanent but form is temporary.
